I came to yoga with a background in athletics. I was an avid marathon runner and suffered a serious knee injury. I became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and sought Yoga as a recovery therapy. After practicing many different styles I decided to become certified as an instructor receiving my 200-hour RYT from Feel Your Best Yoga. I was attracted to the FYB philosophy, “The person, not the pose” and the incorporation of modifications and moderation allowing all people to benefit from Yoga practice. My teaching style is playful, nonjudgmental and facilitates each student's unique journey on the yogic pathway. I try to incorporate humor and great soundtracks into my practice. I received my Ace Fitness Personal Trainer Certification in 2006 and also teach Pilates, yogalates, Barre, Aerial Yoga, Mindfulness, and body sculpt classes throughout the community. Through dedicated yoga practice, I am now able to run without pain or injury.
